Objectives

Define your organization's tactical initiatives as objectives. Tactical initiatives are short-term goals that help an organization achieve its strategic, long-term goals. The expected results and when the results are expected will be specifically stated.

For example, an objective can be to reduce electrical consumption at the Greenville, SC facility by 10 percent in fiscal year 2014. You can select energy as the target type and consumption as the target sub-type. Another example is to reduce hazardous waste at the Greenville, SC facility by 15 percent in fiscal year 2013. You can select waste as the target type and hazardous as the target sub-type.
