Installing Databridge
Databridge is installed during installation of the base Infor EAM product by selecting to install the Infor EAM messaging services and Databridge components through which Databridge operates. There are two types of installation scenarios for messaging services: single server and multiple server. Refer to the following descriptions for more information:
- Single server—A single server installation scenario involves the use of a single messaging provider. Infor strongly recommends using this method.
- Multiple server—A multiple server messaging service installation scenario involves connecting to multiple messaging service providers by Databridge servers. This method is only applicable for specific environment requirements.
Because Databridge is installed as an extension of the base product, the Databridge installations documented in this chapter are intended to provide a basic overview of the Databridge installation with information specifically relevant to both the single and multiple server installation scenarios. The installation examples for both the single and multiple server installations are based on a Databridge installation being installed for an Oracle database on Windows using a JBoss application server, but the information can be used for installing Databridge in a WebSphere, WebLogic, or Oracle Application Server (OAS) environment.
If you are installing Databridge (both the single and multiple server installations on a WebSphere application server, the WebSphere Administrator must create message queue(s) manually using the WebSphere administration console. See Creating message queues for WebSphere.
Databridge has a built-in connection to Infor ESB, an integration platform that facilitates integration of Infor products throughout the enterprise configuration using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architecture. If you are using Databridge to connect to Infor ESB and your Databridge is running in a WebLogic environment, there is extra configuration for your WebLogic start-up environment and command to use Infor Bus messaging client components. Infor strongly recommends you see Configuring Weblogic for Infor ESB connection, or see Infor EAM Databridge /ESB Integration Guide for how WebLogic start-up environment and command should be updated.
Before installing Databridge, you must formulate an installation plan, which involves evaluating the system load, determining the number of machines/servers determining, the number of message queues, etc., by which you will determine the type of Databridge installation that is appropriate for your organization.
Infor strongly recommends that you run a dedicated server for Databridge.
